We had 20 people in the house for a Ukrainian Christmas party and expected a certain amount of prancing around, madness and general mayhew from Molly and her demon tail. NOT A BIT OF IT! She was a tiny bit exciteable when the first three guests arrived but as more and more people turned up at the door, she really found her stride. She brought every new visitor a gift (fortunately, none of them were our dirty underwear!), waited for them to receive it and acknowledge their canine hostess and then went back to charming the pants off everyone.
One girl was terrified of dogs when she arrived but by the end of the evening was patting and stroking Molly compulsively - and Molly was soooooooooo very proud of herself for curing a phobia.
We also had a table full of 12 fish dishes as is traditional in a Ukrainian christmas. Some of them were smoked salmon -and we all know how yummy that smells! But Molly dd not ONCE attempt to help herself to a single thing from the table.
Then one friend arrived with her three little dogs - two jack russells and a shih tsu - and I thought fireworks might be on the way. What do you think happened? Molly started her own party in the kitchen! She had the little ones eating out of her bowl and sharing her water and she hardly barked at them at all (except the once when one of them provoked her severely!)
Only trouble is, this morning she came to remind us about her breakfast which she does regularly if we're more than 10 seconds late. Usually she takes us to the cupboard where the food measuring cup lives. this morning she led us to the ex-smoked salmon table, sat down and waited for smoked salmon. What do you think my guests were doing while my back was turned last night?

Sorry to go on but Molly is a superstar and I just HAD to show off on her behalf.
