Ginnie and Cobi have had a extra 'dose' of love today, (very aloof is our Gin, affection is on her terms) it's been 4 years since we said goodbye to Abigail (10yrs 7months) I still think about her. My friend had to have her golden Lottie pts the day before, we felt quite close to Lottie (14yrs 11 months)as we sometimes looked after her when her 'Mum & Dad' went abroad and other times. She was a re-home at the age of 3, because the family were having another new baby and 'the dog had to go', she was the same age as Abby, and our friends had 'lost' one of their goldens 'Sally' a few months previously....within 24 hours Lottie was in her new 'forever home' with them, at last she had someone who really loved and wanted her for nearly 12 years.
Poor Megan is probably feeling a bit lost without her pal being there, so whenever Megan wants 'battering' she is more than welcome to visit Cobi.
You never fully get over the loss of a much loved goldie, the memories seem to last forever. Abigail looks so much like our Emily but she is aloof just like Lottie,so in a small way we know what a special girl she must have been. so as you say give cobi and ginnie extra love Im sure they can make you feel a little bit better. Thats what goldies do best.
