Cobi and Ginnie yet again......
Does anyone else get the same 'I can't hear you..my ear flaps are shut.....' from their goldens?
Phew ...that's better.... I needed that 'cos I've been running too fast....
OK, OK, I'll come when I want to....
I'm just seeing how close I can get before you notice me.....
The 'cut off' upturned flower buckets do as an off the ground feeding station...

Love the "bottoms up".
Head down, bottoms up, not listening mode.
All ours have had the "can't hear you" ear set, when going hell for leather in the opposite direction. Must be genetic with Goldens.
Our Holly used to get the " I know what I'm doing, meet you there" look. To be honest, she usually did know

Wonderful photos Lynda i never get tired of seeing them.
Love the wonderful expressions they give, so human like.
Now i get confused which one is Cobi and which one is Ginnie?
How did you come by the name Cobi???

Re: Cobi and Ginnie yet again......
Ginnie was chosen because she had only been given a name when she went into rescue, she hadn't got used to that name so she became Ginnie, 'GIN' for short which reflects Ginnie's sometimes wilful nature by despatching a furry toy (similar to a sparrowhawk eating it's prey )
COBI is the smaller very dark dog, and whilst we were travelling up the M6 to Jan's we were saying various names, and then disagreeing with each other, something short, 'cos we knew we might be saying it over and over again if she was anything like our previous goldens!
My Husband knew someone from years ago ( in his happy carefree days before being married!!!!!!) she was a friend of the Dutch family he used to stay with, and her name was Cobi (someone asked me if I minded our dog being named after a girl I'd never met, but my Husband had known... not in the slightest I said) I've since found out that Cobi was the mascot for the 1982 Barcelona Olympics, and also there is a toy called Cobi.
All our dogs have had their names shortened except Jade, Gemma - Gem, Ceili - Cales, Jasmine - Jazz, Abigail - Abby, and now we have Gin. and Co. who have been the best two yet for immediately getting on together from day one.

Thanks Lynda will try and remember who is who now
We have always tried to pick short names for our dogs to as does make shouting them easier...
Have had Troy, Luke and now Brad, although have heard some strange names for dogs

Hi to all,
First of all happy new year to all (better late then never).
Like the new set up.
Great Pictures of Cobi and Ginnie.Bronson has that trouble with his selective hearing.
Took him to the vets for his yearly check up and injection and he has only put on 1 kilo since his last visit which we thought was really good. The vet said that was really good for a retreiver as his weight is 31 kilo. The vet sat on the floor with him and softy bronson loved it as he was trying to get on her knee,
He loves the snow he runs round the feild like a puppy he is so funny.
take care
Love to all the goldies
